The wages of sin haven’t changed…

One thing I have learned about the Father is the longer you walk with Him, the less He will tolerate you walking outside the boundaries of His Word. When the devil sees you out there, he starts asking God what He’s going to do about it and if you’re not careful, you can find yourself in a reenactment of the book of Job. One day the Lord let me know what I’d done to open the door to the devil that had allowed cancer to start attaching itself to me. The condensed version of what happened is this…. I had two friends that I had worked closely with for years. The day finally came that one friend decided to make a move. At first everybody acted like it was a great move and we even threw a thank you party in appreciation for all he had invested with us. It wasn’t but a few weeks later that I was picking up my other friend’s displeasure with the decision of our friend’s move. Believe it or not, this displeasure turned into an offense and some how or another it got on me! I actually started repeating the things I was hearing and ┬ádeveloping an attitude toward my friend that had moved. Deep down I knew that I was was messing around outside of the guideline of love. I had convinced myself that I was honoring my offended friend by siding with his offense. This kind of disobedience comes with a price and my body was starting to make payments. When the Holy Spirit convicts you of sin, you had better make a move toward repentance. He expects that move to be made quickly. I picked up the phone, called my friend that had relocated and asked him if I could meet him at his office…
